GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT PREPARATION
The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to May 15th, 2010.
The submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the ESM Steering Committee which reserves the right to make the final decision on the type of presentation. Notification of acceptance will be sent by e-mail to the presenting author. Abstract book will include the accepted abstracts.

Abstract format
When preparing the abstract, please read carefully the instructions. You are kindly requested to follow strictly the layout of the sample abstract.
Language: English
Length: max. 2500 characters (including spaces)
Spacing: single
Font:
- title - Verdana 14 pt, bold, upper case, central alignment
- authors - Verdana 12 pt, normal, central alignment; presenting author should be
underlined
- affiliations - Verdana 10 pt, normal, central alignment; full address of institutions is
required
- contact - Verdana 10 pt, normal, central alignment; e-mail of the presenting author
should be provided
- text - Verdana 12 pt, normal, justified
Margins: 3.5 cm except for the right which should be 2.5 cm
Content:
- short introduction
- materials and methods
- results
- conclusions
Do NOT:
- include titles for each abstract section
- indent paragraphs
- include figures, tables, photographs
- use abbreviations other than those of standard international use
Please note that abstracts will be published as submitted. Authors should make sure that the text is free of errors of any kind. Please specify presentation preference (oral or poster) at the end of the text.
POSTER PRESENTATION
Language: English
Dimensions: 80 cm (width) × 100 cm (height)
Heading should include: title, authors, affiliations, contact
Contents should include: short introduction, materials and methods, results (including figures, tables, photographs, etc), conclusions, acknowledgements (if appropriate), list of a few most important references (if appropriate)
Adhesive material for placing the posters will be provided by the organizers. Presenting authors are responsible for placing and removing posters. At least one of the authors is requested to be present at the poster sessions.
PRESENTATION EQUIPMENT
The following equipment will be available for oral presentations: a computer with Microsoft Office 2003 program, wireless internet connection, flipchart, LCD projector and an overhead projector.
Technical staff will be at your disposal during the congress, but we suggest you to make sure that your computer presentation is fully operational before your talk (e.g. before the session or during the coffee breaks).
PowerPoint or PDF presentations on CD/DVD/USB memory card are accepted.
