ABSTRACTS


Call for Abstracts

The Organizing Committee welcomes the submission of original contributions for short oral presentations at the Congress.

Abstracts must be written in English. Maximum length is 2500 characters (approx. 350 words) including spaces. The title, the author(s) and names of institutions are not included in the 2500 characters.

Abstract should be structured: a brief statement of the purpose of the study (background), the method used, the result observed, and the conclusions based upon the results. It is inadequate to state “The results will be discussed” or “The data will be presented”.

Up to 3 references could be included in the abstract. The authors’ academic degrees, residence and grant support should also be included in the abstract. Standard abbreviations may be employed in the text. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full wording at the first time it appears in the body of the text.

Accepted abstracts selected by reviewers will be presented in the oral session on Tuesday, 16 September.

It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author.

Oral Abstract Session

Scientific papers will be presented orally with max. 5 PowerPoint slides. Each presentation will be 6 minutes long followed by a 4-minute discussion.

Workshops

Anyone wishing to lead a workshop must submit an abstract (1000 words maximum), make explicit the workshops focus and the nature of participation. The level at which the workshop will be pitched must also be indicated. The proposer must submit a curriculum vitae (200 words maximum) to demonstrate their competence to deliver the workshop.
