Oncology

The Internal Oncology Unit at the University Clinic Golnik has been operating as an independent unit since 2012.

We are dealing with systemic treatment of patients with thoracic cancer, especially lung, pleura and thymus cancer, and to a lesser extent with breast cancer treatment. In an age of rapid development of new medicines, we offer our patients the most modern and patient-friendly treatment for systemic therapy, both in routine clinical practice and in international clinical research.  Our Unit treats about 250-300 new thoracic cancer patients a year.

The Unit currently employs three full-time specialist doctors, one internist oncology specialist, two clinical pharmacists and five registered nurses.
