Project EUnetCCC - The European Network of Comprehensive Cancer Centers
The University Clinic of Respiratory and Allergic Diseases Golnik is participating in the European project EUnetCCC – the European Network of Comprehensive Cancer Centers. The project has been running since October 1, 2024, and will continue until September 30, 2028.
The vision of the project is to establish and develop a European network of comprehensive cancer centers in each EU member state. The EUnetCCC network serves as the core of local, regional, and national networks, setting the gold standard for care, research, innovation, and education. The essence of the network is active collaboration with communities (research organizations, academic institutions, clinics), and the centers will share examples of good practices and knowledge and ensure accessible, high-quality care for every patient, regardless of their location.
The project involves 161 partners from 31 countries. The project coordinator is the French National Cancer Institute (France), the organizational partners are Sciensano (Belgium), Oslo University Hospital (Norway) and NIJZ (Slovenia). The project coordinator in Slovenia is the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana, and the associated partners are the University Clinic of Respiratory and Allergic Diseases Golnik, the University Medical Center Ljubljana, the University Medical Center Maribor, the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Medicine, and the University of Maribor Faculty of Medicine.
